Maker of playful experiences with technology and people

Coral Manton

I am a Fellow at Birmingham Open Media exploring digital feminism and running workshops exploring female representation online – including 3D modeling , AI and IoT/Robotics.

I collaborated with other BOM Fellows on the 2017 exhibition, A White House on Paradise Street as part of the “Developed in Birmingham Project.” For this exhibition I digitised a Wolcott Camera, one of the earliest cameras, from Birmingham Museums Trust’s collection – one of only two remaining in the world. I reconstructed the interior using 3D modelling from photographic references and for the exhibition made a short animated film about how it worked.
